Vickers Wellesley K7759 (Sergeant Aldus and Aubrey B. Lund) of No.47 (RAF) Squadron took off for a reconnaissance of the Er Roseires – Gubba sector, between 06:05 and 12:00. An army officer took place on board the aircraft. Several traces of vehicle are noted, while an ammunition tank is attacked and probably destroyed. The aircraft suffered, however, from an engine problem during the return flight and the pilot is forced to make a forced landing about 80 km from Gordon’s Tree.[1]
Pilot Officer Thomas H. Scorror takes off from Khartoum for Port Sudan to deliver Gloster Gladiator Mk II K6134.
